Saskatoon Music Festival 2010

Students of the King Studio had an incredible festival season, and we are indeed proud of each and every one of you for performing and competing so admirably!

Music Festivals that happen around our province are annual spring events that challenge students to achieve greater heights in their musical abilities, and our students most certainly met the challenge. From one year to the next, we see incredible growth in our students, especially those who compete in Music Festivals.

This year was an exceptional festival season, and those fortunate enough to be in the “winner’s circle” this year were numerous.  These are just a few pictures of some of our wonderful students who were fortunate enough to place in their Festival classes.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to all Festival competitors!

Congratulations, Jessica!
Congratulations to Jessica T, who placed 1st the SRMTA Music Writing Competition.

Jessica is a budding composer, very creative, and bursting with musical ideas.  She entered four
compositions, and her winning piece, “Ladybug”, received lovely, glowing compliments
from adjudicator of this province-wide competition, Heather Laliberte-Waldner.
Jessica’s piece will now advance to the national CFMTA Music Writing Competition, where she represents Saskatchewan in her age group, and competes against all of the other provincial winners.  Good luck, Jessica, on the next leg of this competition which is yet to come!
